Going Up Country

One of the hardest things about being apart from Sabet is during special times likes Easter where we celebrate our Lord’s resurrection without him. It has been over 2 years since Sabet and I have had to spend so much time apart and it’s not easy. So we decided to get out of Nairobi for a few days and travel ’up country’ to Kitale and spend Easter celebrating with Joe and Nancy Losee. They are our bible school teachers, also out of Sudan on R & R while the pastors take a break. I don’t like to drive in Kenya as the roads are full of delinquent drivers and potholes, so Gordon, our logistician, said if he would drive us to Kitale and go to Kisumu from there and visit his family. We have to get up early as it’s a 7 hour journey and 75% of Nairobi will leave to also go ‘up country’ on Good Friday for the long weekend.
