“And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the father.” – John 14:13
A couple of weeks ago we have been having premature deliveries in the clinic, thank God no more. This month of July most cases are placenta praevia, which is caused mostly by infections. Thus causing virginal bleeding. We have transferred almost five patients with this problem to Wau Hospital.
A mother of 28 years old was brought yesterday to the clinic. Nyibol Manyual was diagnosed of placenta praevia while she was seven months pregnant. She was having virginal bleeding which was painless. The Midwife on duty Annie, examined her and admitted her for complete bed rest for one day. Today in the morning at around 4:30 am she started bleeding profusely.
Annie contacted the doctors who ordered her to be transferred urgently to a second level facility, in Wau Hospital. I.V. fluid of normal saline was fixed because the pulse rate was high and the blood pressure was low. The urgency for her referral was that she needed urgent blood transfusion and emergency theatre to save her and the foetus.
Please pray for her as she is still admitted in Wau Hospital. So many car accidents are happening on the way to Wau, pray for our ambulance for protection.
